Done in 2010
After buying the land, our next step in realizing the dream of an independent and efficient school is the construction of the new school building. Before my return to Italy, I defined point (1) and (2) in the list below, in addition to getting information about prices for construction, furniture and computers.
As per the request of some of my Italian friends, I also got information about prices for a tour, which will be organized to show the country outside of common touristic areas, concluding with a visit to the school.
2010 Goals
- Building of a wall around the land’s perimeter (achieved).
- Obtaining an official recognition in Sri Lanka of our ONLUS status.
- Gathering funds to build the school.
- Begin construction.
- Furnishing and preparing the school.
- Start of the 2011 school year in our new building!
